History of Civil Aviation in Nepal

1949 :   The date heralded the formal beginning of aviatonin Nepal with the landing of a 4 seated lone
              powered vintage beach-craf Bonanza aircraf of Indianambassador Mr. Sarjit Singh Mahathia                at Gauchar.
1950 :  The frst Charter flight By Himalayan Aviaton Dakota From Goucher to Kolkata.
1955:   King Mahendra inaugurated Gauchar Airport and renamed it as Tribhuwan Airport.
1957 :  Grassy runway transformed into a concrete one.
1957 :  Department of civil Aviaton Founded.
1958:   Royal Nepal Airlines started scheduled service domestcally and externally.
1959 :   RNAC fully owned by HMG/N as a public undertaking.
1960:    Nepal Atained ICAO membership.
1964:   Tribhuvan Airport renamed as Tribhuvan Internatonal Airport.
1967:   The 3750 feet long runway extended to 6600 feet.
1967:   Landing of the German Airlines Lufhansa Boeing 707.
1968:   Thai Internatonal starts its scheduled jet air services.
1972:    Nepalese jet aircraf Boeing 727/100 makes debut landing at TIA. ATC services taken over                    by    Nepalese  personnel from Indian Technicians.
1975:   TIA runway extended to 10000 feet from the previous 6600 feet.
1975: CATC established.
1976 : FIC (Flight informaton Center) established.
1977: Nepal imprinted in the World Aeronautcal.
1989: Completon of internatonal Terminal Building and frst Concorde.
1990: New Internatonal terminal Building Of TIA inaugurated by king Birendra.
1992 : Adopton of Liberal Aviaton Policy and emergence of private sector in domestc air transport.
1993: Natonal Civil Aviaton Policy Promulgated.
1995: Domestc terminal Building of TIA and Apron expanded at TIA.
1998: COSCAP-SA project established.
2002: Expansion of the Internatonal Terminal Building at TIA and the constructon of a new air cargo
            complex.
2003: Rara airport (Mugu), Kangeldandasirport (Solukhumbu) and Thamkharka airport (Khotand)                   brought in Operaton.
2004: Domestc operaton by jet aircraf commenced.
2005 : Internatonal Flight by two private operator began.
2006: A new comprehensive Aviaton Policy introduced.GMG Airlines of Bangladesh, Korean Air                   and Air Arabia started air service to Nepal.
2007: Identfcaton of site locaton for a new second internatonal airport.
            Ethad, Dragon Air, Orient Thai and Hong Kong Express commenced their service to Nepal.
2009: Established of RCAG staton at Nepalgunj to augment coverage of VHF communicatons in Air              Traffic Control.
2010: An agreement of SDR 44388000 was signed between Nepal Government and CAAN for                        capacity Enhancement project of TIA under ADB loan.
2011: Tumlingtar and Simikot runways paved.
2012 : RNP AR procedures of TIA effected from June. AMHS commissioned in civil Aviaton
           CAA received TRAINAIR PLUS Associate Membership from ICAO.
2013: Installaton of CNS & ATM Equipments at TIA to enhance ATC Capacity.
2014: Installaton of terminal Monopulse secondary surveillance Radar (T-MSSR) at TIA and enroute             MSSR at Bhatedada under Japanese Grant AID.
2015: Gautam Buddha Internatonal Airport foundaton stone laid down by Hon' PM Sushil Korala.                  New Domestc Terminal Building Constructed at TIA. Total 23 Airports including TIA are                    paved tll date.
2016:  Pokhara Regional/Intl' Airport Constructon Foundaton Stone Laid down by Hon' PM K.P. Oli             (2016 April 13).

Useful apps to Organise your Life


There are thousands and thousands of mobile applications in your mobile app store. We can find apps for communication, reading books, photography, shopping, games, music, health and many more. We are so dependent on mobile phone and apps now that we need apps to wake up and sleep too. Below are some of the applications that I have been using to make my life more organised, to keep track of my appointment, schedule, expenses, etc. Hope these apps will be useful for you too. 


1. Google Keep: 

Google Keep is a simple, versatile and easy to use note application. You can use google keep to make list (such as groceries list, to do list etc), you can also easily check the works you have completed in the list. You can also create a note with text, picture as well as voice records. You can also add reminder with date as well as location. You can also share your lists or notes with your friends. It is cloud base so you can access it from any device including your laptop.

2. Google Calendar: Google Calendar is a free web and mobile calendar which helps you to organize your life. You can create events and reminders and also share it with your friends. You can quickly schedule meetings and events and get reminders about upcoming activities, so you always know what’s next. You can create a separate calendar which you can share with your team.  



3. Money Manager: It helps you to visualize where your money is going instead of just reading numbers. You’ll also get a passcode lock, asset management, instant stats, and up to the moment bookkeeping. You can also backup and restore your data in case you need to switch devices. It also outputs to an Excel spreadsheet format if you need that. It uses Material Design. 




4. Period Tracker's Period Calendar: It is the top period tracking app. It is very easy to use: It’s simple to navigate, straight forward in how you track and rate symptoms, and literally anyone can use it. Its prediction is almost always correct. It reminds you about the period on time make your life easy.
